GITR is the Olympics for Startups; a worldwide competition where startups face off against each other in one-on-one pitching battles in front of judges and a live audience. Since its inception in 2012, Get in the Ring events have spread to 64 countries with over 3,000 participants.
This November, it’s coming to Palestine!
How does it work?
In order to compete in Get in the Ring, start ups must submit their official application by October 20th. We are accepting startups at any stage from ideas to established companies, and in any sector, as long as they meet the requirements mentioned in the application. Once all applications are submitted, a representative committee of investors and incubators will review the applications and divide them into three categories or “weight classes”: Ideas, Development, and Established. The committee will determine the top four from each weight class, who will then advance to the semifinals.
The finals will be held on November 7th in front of a live audience under the same format as the semifinals with one twist: after each pitch battle the live audience will vote for the ultimate champions in each weight class.
The last startup standing in each class will take home prizes that include free acceleration or incubation, business development, mentorship and investment, with the ultimate prize being an expenses-covered trip to the regional finals in Saudi Arabia with the chance to advance to the international finals in the Netherlands.
