The Palestinian Information Technologies Incubator (PICTI) launched a call for proposal to support 1 green economy enterprise/ New start-up working on green economy to help unlock their business idea’s potential.
The aim of the competition is to support efforts towards a green economy that increases poverty-stricken people’s access to a clean and safe environment, promotes human security by preventing or addressing conflicts over access to land, food, water and other natural resources, promotes increased power and voice among the poor, and reduces pollution or degradation of air, water and lands, and other environment-related risks and vulnerabilities.
Following the deadline, PICTI will be assembling a jury of entrepreneurship experts to evaluate all received application, in order to select the best ICT solution to serve the Palestinian green economy.
The selected enterprise will be receiving the needed guidance, mentoring and training in the areas of innovation & entrepreneurship throughout the incubation phase, to become acquainted with the needed leadership skills, team management and any modern tools to be utilized for the benefit of their businesses. In addition to 21,000 euro in seed funding to help kick start the enterprise/ startup’s idea.
At the end of the incubation phase, the entrepreneur is to be connected with outside interested parties to get more access to information and resources that are of immense benefit to their business.
